OH...yes he DID!!!!

Every school has those days where they try to promote "school spirit". Last week, on Thursday to be exact, our Baker woke up and said, "It's miss match day at school today". So he got ready and with much excitement went off to school.

That afternoon when he got home his first words to me were..., "MOM!! Guess what?" "What", I replied. "It wasn't miss match day today!"...I couldn't stop laughing...Poor Baker, perhaps now he'll read a calender!

We love you Baker!!

Easter 09

Easter on Sunday, when you have 8am church doesn't always work...so the Easter Bunny came after lunch this year.

The boys enjoyed finding the eggs as always but I am sad to say...I don't think Baker will be willing to carry a basket around much longer!! I think 11 is "to cool" for that kind of thing, however, candy will be welcome!

~Happy Easter~

4 years and counting...

Owen turned 4 a few weeks ago...needless to say, I've not done well at keeping up with posts. I would like to chalk it up to school, but I've been done for a week and half and have just enjoyed doing nothing.

Owen wanted to go to the mall and get a dinosaur stuffed animal at Build-A-Bear. They don't have dinosaurs anymore so he settled for an elephant and loved the process of "building"it. He wasn't however to fond of the bell ringing and "happy birthday" at the end...too much attention?

He had a great birthday and we hope he makes it to 5 :).

"WHO" said that?

O-ee got a new game from Uncle Haze and Aunt Natalie and Mabes and Ethan for his birthday.

Horton Hears a Who!

What a crazy fun game for him! He loved it, as did the older boys. It was a great fun for the whole family.

Scripture Power...Keeps me safe from sin...

As we have been reading scriptures as a family every night...Our Ian has been struggling with not having his own set. He LOVES reading...scriptures, The Friend, pretty much anything he had get his hands on. Last night as we sat down to read when it was his turn, I passed over my scriptures to him and he read...after we had finished, he looked so sad. Mike asked what was the matter and tears filled his eyes as he replied that all he really wanted was his OWN scriptures. We tried to explain to him that in just one year, on his 8th birthday, he will get his very own set. That answer was not good enough. He proceeded to let us know he could not wait ONE WHOLE YEAR!!

(What are you to say to that, "OH yes you will"?)

So this morning I gave Ian Mike's mission scriptures. I explained to him how special they are and that if he promised to take very good care of them, that he can use them until he is 8 and gets his very own set. I also explained to him that on our "date day" we can go to the bookstore and get him a case to carry them in. His face let up and he said to me, "Thanks Mom...now I am going to find a very special place for these so they don't get hurt."

I took the boys to the bus stop and they got out of the car. Ian ran back to me and said, "Mom, I love you, thanks for my special scriptures."

How blessed I felt this morning as all my son wanted was his OWN scriptures. I love that he has such a desire to learn more about Christ and his teachings. It is not often that the Spirit is so strong at 6:30 in the morning in our home but today is strong and wonderful and I loved having it here so early!!!

Where Should I Be Living?...

So I recently took a "quiz" I'm sure it was super scientific too!! Here were the results!

Question:Where Should You Be Living?

Answer: Seattle

You are tired of the scorching sun and the heat. You want to go somewhere were you can enjoy the rain and the ocean and feel like you are at home. You want to go to the top of the space needle and see everything around you. You have an adventurous spirit that is itching to explore.
True? False? I'm not sure. I do know that the summer is coming way to fast here and the beach is sounding really nice right about now. I'm not looking forward to the 100's and I'm always game for some adventure as long as it doesn't include my food.
