Thank Heaven for Little Boys!!

BOYS, BOYS,BOYS!! I had 7 boys over today to play basketball and swim...At first, I have to be honest, the thought was very unpleasing to me...BUT, Baker hasn't seen most of these boys in a while and wanted a day when he could hang out without his little brothers all over them...seeing how tomorrow was their last day, today seemed to be THE DAY!

So despite my hesitation I said yes and we met at the church for what was to be two hours of basketball. We left and headed home for a quick pick-me-up and swimming.

As I sat and watched these boys "hang out" for the next four hours I couldn't help but smile. It was nothing like I had dreaded...It was wonderful, easy, and surprisingly fun. Nothing but compliments to each other for "amazing shots", checking to see if someone was "OK" as they may have been accidentally hit by and ball or a blocking hand, laughter as someone fell attempting the impossible.

What great boys! What amazing young men!! What a privilege it was to have them in my home and watch them interact one with another...as I sat and pictured them in less than 4 1/2 years leaving on missions I couldn't help but think how blessed Baker is to have such wonderful friends and grateful I am to their parents for raising such incredible young men!!



So now when asked if he can have his basketball team over to hang out; I can only smile and say,"Any Time!"
