NEVER...if you told me that I would be blogging about an email I received from my Father-in-law, would I believe you...BUT, since he has just SAVED my life, and PS, we are even now, I figured I owe him that...( the blog credit :D that is).Dad, don't let this get to your head in ANY way, you still go right to my junk mail, ONLY BECAUSE I have NO IDEA what is to come and well, lets be honest, it's just safer for my sanity that way. I LOVE you more than I can express and today your email proved me wrong. And for that I'm sorry...
I received an email in regards to quotes from former prophet President Gordon B. Hinckley. I was grateful for his thoughts and I could not have needed the reminder more. Now that summer is here and I am a MOM 24/7...did I say SEVEN!!! President Hinckley's sweet words only reminded me how blessed I was to have his council. My testimony by far was strengthened during my youth and adulthood by listing intently to his words. Without a doubt he was my favorite prophet, perhaps because he wasn't afraid to crack a joke, poke fun, in a good way of course, and then bring it all back to the Savior. If I could only learn to do that!
In the email I just received this was one of my favorite quotes:

I think I'll go with smart and happy but stupid and miserable was a close second.

Hey, I have to be honest . . . I do read ALL of the Obama stuff that dad sends us. Some of it is very interesting, scary, thought provoking and even educational . . . just sayin'! :-)
I think we need to put that quote in vinyl somewhere...what do you think??
